With deep regret, the 29th Annual Triple Bypass ride has been CANCELLED due to the forest fires, dangerous conditions and heavy smoke in both Eagle
and Summit Counties. Evacuations have been ordered while fire crews continue to fight the fire at the time of this release. Our paramount concern
is the safety or our riders, volunteers and emergency personnel. Our thoughts go out to all involved emergency personnel and we will be donating
this year’s Sunday ride meals and hydration to those fighting the fires and protecting our National Forests, mountain towns, and communities.
We recognize the need for local and state police to be available for fire related duties and our ride would tax their resources.
The Triple Bypass has been held for 28 years and we've ridden through sunshine, rain, snow and hail, but never life-threatening wildfires....
but please count on us to return for 2018 and we hope you will too! And this iconic ride is more than a ride because thanks to you we're able
to donate every year to local non-profits, totaling over two million dollars in the history of Team Evergreen, with $180,000 given in 2016 alone.
The ride is canceled to ensure the safety of all of our riders, personnel, volunteers and especially the men and women that represent emergency
agencies that are protecting the land, homes and citizens of Summit, Eagle and Clear Creek Counties.

The Triple Bypass Bicycle Ride is recognized as one of the premier cycling events in the nation. A one or two-day cycling event, celebrating its 29th year, the Triple Bypass takes you on a gorgeous tour through the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
OPTION One - On Saturday July 8th, 2017, the Triple Bypass heads West from Evergreen and concludes in Avon after climbing and descending three mountain passes. The one day bicycle ride covers 120 miles from Evergreen over Juniper Pass (11,140 ft.), Loveland Pass (11,990 ft.), and Vail Pass (10,560 ft.).
OPTION Two - The same ride, in the opposite direction heading East from Avon, occurs on Sunday, July 9th and has become a favorite single day ride for those looking to see the Triple Bypass in a new way. Regardless of which direction you choose, the Triple has over 10,000 ft. of elevation gain and takes you and your bike through some of the most beautiful landscapes in Colorado.
OPTION Three - For those truly interested in a heart-pounding experience, riders can take the challenge of the Double Triple Bypass and ride both days of the weekend. The Double Triple is the ultimate bicycle ride challenge, traveling 240 miles with 20,000' of climbing over the course of the weekend. For your accomplishment, Double riders receive their own unique jersey, extra swag, and additional gear drop-off during the ride.
No matter which course option you choose, all riders receive a coveted jersey, stocked aid station support, catered finish-line meal, free beer or beverages, and the satisfaction that you have completed something incredible. Registration for this summer's event opens in January 2017.
