Frequently Asked QuestionS

RECOMMENDED START TIMES

6:00am Evergreen:  The recommended start time in Evergreen is 6:00am.  The course will close at 8am and we will not allow riders to begin past that time.  If you don’t make it by 8am, it is your responsibility to find a way to Idaho Springs and join your fellow riders.  You WILL NOT be shuttled if you miss the start nor will you be allowed on the closed course.

Lights: If you intend to start before daylight, Colorado State law requires you to have a working headlight and taillight on your bicycle. We will have CSP on course starting at approximately 4:00 am and if they find a rider without proper illumination, they will require that rider to stop and stay in place until daylight. Be aware, Juniper Pass Aid station will not open until 6:30 am.

8:30 am Georgetown – Parking at Shadows Ranch and Easter Seals.  TAKE THE GEORGETOWN EXIT and head east for parking.  Follow the flaggers for parking.  DO NOT PARK at the Georgetown Visitor Center, you will be towed.  Get on your bike and head west to the aid station and look for the Team Evergreen start tent if you need to pick up your rider number.  All riders are recommended to pick up their jersey/rider number BEFORE the event or at the start line in Evergreen.

11:00 am Copper Mountain – Park in the Chapel lot, check in with the Team Evergreen start tent at the Copper aid station on Ten Mile Circle and have fun!

Jerseys/Merchandise

How do I get my rider packet and jersey?  During registration you will select how you want to get your jersey.  You have 3 options: Pick-up at a bike shop in Denver, Boulder or Evergreen, US mail before the event, or at the start line.  Mail and start line cost extra.

What if I don’t like the size of the jersey I ordered?   You will be able to exchange your jersey (sizes limited) at the finish area expo in Avon.  Check the fit guide at www.primalwear.com. All Triple jerseys are a sport cut, so the fit is a bit looser than a race cut jersey.  You will receive the jersey of the ride you select.  No jersey style (30, 75 or 120) substitutions.

When will I get the other merchandise I ordered?  You will receive your merchandise before the event by mail.  There will be an opportunity at the finish to purchase more items as well.

Transportation/Lodging

After the ride, how do I get back to the start area?  Summit Cycle Solutions is providing all transportation to and from the start this year.  Check out the reservation page and book your shuttle and lodging.  Act now, they will sell out!

Help! I need lodging!  Check the lodging page on the website for group rates and recommendations. Evergreen sells out quickly, the next closest town to the start area is 15 minutes down the hill in Golden.

Luggage  We provide transportation for a small softsided bag to the finish.  Have your name and rider number clearly marked on the outside of the bag. Do not leave essential items such as wallets, phones or car keys in your luggage.

PARKING

There is plenty of parking near the Evergreen start area, just follow the volunteers with flags the morning of July 13th

Insurance

Do you offer cancellation insurance?   Good news, if the event is cancelled due to a fire, flood, terrorism or the like, Team Evergreen has provided, free of cost, event cancellation coverage.  You will receive your entry fee back, less processing fees.  Please read the insurance description during the registration process.

Rider Cancellation Insurance

During registration, you will also have the opportunity to purchase additional coverage in case of rider cancellation such as illness, injury, or another event preventing your attendance.
